The hotel boasts 269 tastefully decorated rooms, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotels neighborhood story, the story of Dubai creek. Other facilities that our guests can expect include an infinity pool deck, fully equipped fitness center and our neighborhood café and bar, both offering seamless service and array of experiences reflecting this expressive neighborhood.

Your day to day

As the Director of Marketing and Sales, you’ll develop and implement strategies to ensure revenue and room night sales goals are achieved, marketing and sales strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved. You will also produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan. You will develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognize good performance. You will drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team. You will interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed. You will develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue Financial. You will hit all personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability. You will help prepare the departmental budget and financial plans including the hotel marketing plan. You will create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales. You will create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients and attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel. You will lead marketing efforts to upsell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities. You will work with advertising agencies, consulting firms, and vendors to maximise advertising investments and ensure ads represent brand identity. You will raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally – occasionally acting as hotel representative for media related enquire. You will identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments.

Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is now officially open and we are now seeking for a polished and lively Director of Marketing and Sales who will drive the marketing activities and overall sales performance.

You'll report to the Hotel General Manager and you’ll play a big role in supporting the overall success of the hotel.

The right fit for this role is someone who has a similar experience in Marketing and Sales with an energetic and fun personality. He/She should be passionate about people and hospitality. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential. If you are this person, we’d like to meet you.

Ideally, you should have at least five years of experience in a Leadership role in Marketing and/or Sales in a five-star hotel industry and a Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Hospitality or Marketing.
