Each experience enriched by an otherworldly setting, you will drive the team to deliver the exceptional service, creating of rich and personal experiences that will bring the InterContinental Life alive. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will play a key role in developing the Food & Beverage team to create a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and upskilling them to ensure they are highly engaged, deliver results and know how to truly deliver luxury in the food and beverage space.
This role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Food & Beverage to execute the Restaurant & Bars and Special Events strategy within the Resort and managing the day to day of the Restaurants, Bars and Banqueting across the operation. From implementing promotional calendars and driving revenue creation opportunities to workforce planning, running shifts and seeking innovative ways of working – this role will be pivotal in ensuring the restaurant operations and bespoke events hosted are effective and efficient and guest service is unrivalled.
The ideal candidate will have experience both in hospitality, leadership working in a resort or hotel with multiple Restaurant & Bar offerings. You will have demonstrated capability in influencing and impacting business strategy and also have sound financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with proven ability to deliver on set targets. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and an open minded around how we can drive the Resort forward and deliver unrivalled guest journeys will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must. A strong background in operating bars an advantage.
Previous exposure to a remote island environment would be a plus. However if you’re an organised and confident food & beverage professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion and gain exposure to bringing WOW events to life, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.
You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open Australian driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required; commencing from mid to late October 2020.
