If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand as a part of our Landscaping Team; key roles in our dynamic Engineering Department who maintaining all gardens, surrounding landscape, drains/beaches and keep the Resort’s landscape looking lush and vibrant and maintain all resort ponds and lagoons.
You will support our Landscape Gardeners and Ponds Technicians to maintain and improve the beautiful resort grounds, from soft and hard land scaping to general deadfall operations and irrigation and pest control. As well as performing scheduled maintenance, water testing and cleaning procedures on our ponds, lagoons and multiple water features across the resort. You will also have the opportunity to assist in other Engineering tasks from time to time.
The ideal candidate will hold a Queensland General Safety Induction Card (White Card) and open driver's licence and have had exposure to, experience around and knowledge of water filtration and pump systems and water analysis alongside Horticulture and Garden Maintenance . To be successful in this role you will need to have good problem solving skills and possess excellent customer service & communication skills to support the wider Engineering department and Resort to deliver the InterContinental Life. Exposure to a resort or a remote island environment will be a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and reporting tools like HotSoS and Hardcat and a working knowledge of general hand tools and domestic and industrial equipment will be a plus and you will have the flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, weekends and public holidays across a seven day roster. You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open Australian driver’s license and have availability to commence from early to mid August 2020.
