Your day to day
In conjunction with the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef plans activities, promotions and menu implementations for the Belgian Cafe outlet according to the annual marketing plans. Plans and leads all menu implementations in a timely manner with recipes, photographs & staff training by keeping up with the latest market trends. Ensures that all designated action points from daily briefings or monthly operational meetings are being followed by the individual s concerned. Be aware of and comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations. Be constantly aware of customers’ expectations, which are adhered to and followed. Be responsible for and accountable for the overall food cost as well as kitchen supplies, kitchen energy costs and kitchen utensils in the assigned section. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
What we need from you
Ideally, you will have at least a minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or 2 years experience as Chef de Cuisine in a Belgian cuisine specialty restaurant. Leading and managing a diverse team, in a high volume operation. Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, computer literate, very good english communication skills (both oral and writing).
