Your day to day

Which is why we need you to join us as Area Director of Human Resources  based at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills because for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can be a significant senior leader and member of our Australasia HR team

This role enables, contributes and drives the People Agenda at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, aligning with IHG Global and Australasia HR people strategy. This role provides operational, business and strategic support to General Manager and hotel leaders, maximising hotel talent and achieving business goals. As a Human Resource professional, this role drives and improves organisational capability, systems and processes, it builds strong relationships and ensures winning becomes a habit through embedding high performance and driving a culture of high quality, process excellence and continuous improvement. As the world of work evolves, this key role supports leaders to build future capability, maintaining a lens on industry innovation and trends.The role is a key business partner to the Area General Manager at their base hotel and provides strategic and business consult to HR team within Area as required.

What we need from you

To be successful in this role you’ll have demonstrated excellence in these fields at a similar level as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. You'll bring great knowledge and experience, be forward thinking and inspirational with a warm and approachable manner.

Ideally you'll have a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 yrs + experience in Human Resources Management role and ideally will have worked in a multi-unit capacity within a recognized multi-national organization. A solid understanding of Employee Relations practices and the ability to deal effectively with employees across diverse cultures and build management capability, will spell success in this role.
