Because of this vital role, we are looking for someone who can direct food and beverage operations to ensure great quality of service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique. And at the same time, you will ensure compliance with all governmental regulations concerning health, safety, or other requirements.
Your day to day
You will participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. You will monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs. You will educate and train all team members in compliance with governmental regulations. You will ensure staff is properly trained on quality and service standards and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties. In partnership with other department heads, you will identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue. You will drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for our guests and maximize the Hotel revenue. You will ensure that all food and beverage facilities and equipment are cleaned and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. You will notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs. You will establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, such as responding in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for analysing guest insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty. You will initiate, lead and manage local food and beverage marketing programmes for the hotel. You will monitor local competitors and industry trends. You will oversee direct day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. You will provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
What we need from you
In addition, you should have the following qualifications and skills that we are looking for: - Bachelors degree in Hotel Management or Business Administrationpreferred. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable. - Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in food and beverage operations in a hospitality sector - Experience in overseeing the food and beverage operations - Strong business and financial acumen to drive revenue results - Experienced in developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel. - Excellent problem solving and organizational abilities - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Passion to work in a dynamic environment - Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
